Why do we only sell shackles Made in the USA?

We don’t believe you should compromise your winch recovery safety just to save a few bucks on low quality imported shackles.  We have stress-tested numerous low quality imported shackles and are amazed in the wide variation of material yield points and ultimate breaking strengths.   This is why 99% of imported shackles are not certified to be used in critical overhead/crane lifting operations.

The recreational offroad industry is full of low quality imported shackles due to their low cost.  This limits the locations to purchase USA made shackles to only your local rigging supply store.   We have partnered with the Crosby Group to offer their quality shackles in our durable UV stable powder coated finishes.  Each shackle is first powder coated with an epoxy-based powder coating for superior corrosion resistance, then powder coated in a polyester-based material for UV stability.

• 5/8″ is most common for UTV/ATV applications. (5/8 shackle = 3/4 diameter pin)

• Certified, Tested, and Made in the USA.

NOTE ABOUT SHACKLE FINISHES: Factor 55 sources 100% USA Made drop-forged,  shackles from Crosby USA. These shackles can sometimes have small blemishes after their powder coating. These blemishes do not affect the shackle’s ability to outperform low-quality imported shackles in any way. These are a tool. A life safety tool to be used confidently with your recovery rigging. If you have a show build or simply looking for shackles to be used for display, these may not be the shackles for you.  If you do, you can leave us a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Your goods will be dispatched from our Melbourne warehouse in most cases, your expected delivery time will vary depending on your location. Most items will arrive in 3-7 business days when delivering to Metro areas within the east coast of Australia. Delivery times are based on a daily dispatch when orders are received prior to 3pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Please note: Exclusions apply for free shipping for some bulky items and to remote locations at A247’s discretion. Whilst we try our hardest to offer you a free or a fair shipping fee, sometimes our shipping calculator gets it wrong, if you feel you’re being overcharged please contact us and we’ll straighten it out.
